Junior Units for girls who have completed grades 3-5
Girls will try more challenging activities in the out-of-doors. They may have the opportunity to try archery, practice advanced camp skills and participate in an overnight campout. Some camps offer out-of-camp program for this age level. Junior campers also might work on Junior Badge requirements.
Program Aides for girls who have completed grades 6-11
The Program Aide Training is designed to teach girls the skills they need in order to become Junior Leaders. The program cost for each girl is $25, which includes training, Program Aide Pin and Patch, and camp fee. Program Aides pay all applicable optional fees for trips, etc.
At the Day Camp the Program Aide chooses, she will work toward completing her 25-hour internship as a Program Aide. Girls learn how to teach camp craft skills, lead songs and games, and work as a team with girls and adults. A girl is considered a Program Aide for the entire summer after she completes her training.
Junior Leaders for girls who have completed grades 7-11 and completed the PA Program
Junior Leaders assist adult leaders in helping campers plan and participate in Day Camp activities. The Program Aide training and apprenticeship are pre-requisites for being a Junior Leader. Girls will practice their leadership skills and work as a team with adults and peers. Junior Leaders pay no registration fee but may have additional fees from the day camp.
Adults!
Be part of the Day Camp experience!! Most Day Camps need adult leaders for a variety of roles, both full time and part time. If you have children, they come to camp at a reduced fee.
Tots and Boys Units
Programs are available for the children of Day Camp staff members. School aged daughters enroll in the appropriate unit for their age. Pre-schoolers and boys (up to grade 6) have their own Day Camp Units.
